Experienced Finance Consultant Financial Services / Potential Team Lead - Synechron

Synechron Business Consulting is currently recruiting for different levels within its Finance, Risk and Control (FR&C) practice in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

Experienced Finance Consultant Financial Services / Potential Team Lead

The role will be dependent on experience, but at all levels responsibilities will include typical consulting activities:

  • Deliver specific projects on client site individually and as part of Synechron Business Consulting and client teams;
  • Engage with clients to deliver practical solutions;
  • Project management;
  • Practice development and entrepreneurship;
  • Proposition and solution development, using innovative concepts where effective;
  • Client proposal development and sales support;
  • Client presentations;
  • Contributing to vision development, white papers and thought leadership.

Requirements

YOU HAVE

  • Finished university;
  • A minimum of six years of experience within the financial services industry (banking and/or insurance);
  • Experience of either performing a key function in the finance domain of a financial services organization or as a consultant to such an organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge of front to back processes (from source to end report)
  • Thorough understanding of finance and risk reporting processes;
  • Knowledge of Finance IT Architecture and Applications
  • Thorough knowledge of Basel II/III/CRDIV and/or Solvency II requirements;
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory reporting and IFRS;
  • Experience with data management (data governance framework, data modelling, data flow design/analysis and data integration architecture);
  • Broad knowledge of regulatory and economic factors impacting the industry;
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and/or wholesale banking and/or retail banking or insurance products
  • Knowledge of risk management processes and reporting
  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts to senior stakeholders - exhibiting and understanding of strategic levers and governance mechanisms;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Dutch and English
  • Experience with (leading) transformations within finance domain
  • Project management and delivery excellence;
  • Extensive experience with writing business cases, good presentation skills and analytical ability.
