We are Accounting and Product Control Global Markets, a highly international and multi-cultural team within Financial Accounting that is responsible for reporting and recording of the financial results of Global Markets. We have a pivotal role between our front office stakeholders and the financial chain that ultimately leads to ABN AMRO’s reporting of financial figures. Your job

You’ll manage and work together with a divers team of 11 highly qualified professionals. You are, together with the team, responsible for all Global Markets related financial reporting to external stakeholders, (including amongst others IFRS Annual Accounts and Regulatory Reporting such as DNB, ECB, FINREP), daily P&L and valuation models. In addition, you and your team are responsible to service internal stakeholders (amongst which internal controlling departments, management reporting and daily reporting to traders and Risk Management) and manage the various audit processes, with internal and external auditors, as well as audits performed by regulators like DNB and ECB.

Working environment

Global Markets Accounting & Product Control is part of Financial Accounting and consists of 11 international colleagues. We are responsible for the entire internal and external reporting of the markets domain. This domain focuses on daily P&L and valuations, both from an IFRS and regulatory point of view. Given the continuously evolving markets and requirements, we are constantly looking for new insights and improvement opportunities. Next to this, the department is also implementing a new system environment, which leaves sufficient room for creativity and improvements.

Your profile

You are analytical, proactive and a strong team player. You coach and guide a team and its individual team members to grow in a sustainable way. You support the team with your knowledge and experience. You thrive in a continuously changing environment. You collaborate easily, have a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn. In addition, you can relate to the following qualifications:

10+ years of experience in a similar environment
Masters degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Controlling or similar. Being a chartered Accountant or Controller (RA/ACCA/RC) is a plus
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, processes and standards (especially IFRS9)
Knowledge of financial markets and derivative products
Knowledge of various valuation techniques for financial instruments
