The ABN AMRO Clearing Operational Risk & Control (ORC) department strengthens the ability of ABN AMRO Clearing (AAC) to continuously meet its regulatory requirements and to service its clients out of a robust environment by providing independent risk assurance, information security management, business continuity management and a sound control framework. The ORC function constitutes the first line of defence of AAC for all risks except for market and credit risk.The services of AAC (Global Execution Services, Clearing and Post Trade Services) are subject to intensive national and international regulation and supervision. As such it is closely monitored by Regulators and Central Banks and being in control is therefore critical with regard to all AAC processes. AAC holds significant market shares in financial markets across the globe holding top spots in clearing on numerous exchanges in every region, clearing anything from 10 to 20 million trades per day within a global 24x7 business. AAC holds its own banking license (ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V.). AAC has roughly 800 FTE globally and has its own supporting organization, whilst being fully part of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. AAC ORC has a global focus. ORC is divided into 3 regional organizations: Europe, US and APAC. AAC ORC has to ensure that AAC meets the requirements set by internal and external parties including regulators around the globe, exchanges,central counterparties and (external) auditors. We are seeking an experienced colleague for the Operational Risk & Control department. Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for managing the operational risk framework, act as business continuity officer and apport/backfill the LISO.What do you see when you envision the next step? Your job

• Main role is to act as 1st line Operational Risk Controller responsible for the implementation of the operational risk control framework and testing the control framework (incl. reporting on the effectiveness of the key controls). Advise management on (key) BAU and change risks and be the primary liaison for second line risk control functions. Implementing and maintaining the AMA framework in Europe;• Act as local Business Continuity Officer and responsible for the local implementation, operation, validation, maintaining and improving the Business Continuity Management System in accordance with ISO 22301;• Coordinate the follow up on internal and external audit issues and work together with Group Audit, exchanges and regulators to appropriately address audit items;• Support and backfill the Local Information Security Officer for Information Security Management in line with the AAC Information Security Policy;• Participate in projects with Operational Risk & Control related interests.

Your profile

•Knowledge of business economics at a bachelors/ masters level;•Knowledge of Global Execution Services, Clearing and post trade processes;•Knowledge of regulatory framework (DNB/AFM);•Knowledge of industry standards on business continuity management (e.g. ISO 22301);•Knowledge of industry standards on process control/management e.g. ISAE 3402;
•Knowledge of Industry wide IT standards (e.g. ITIL / COBIT);•Knowledge of Operational Risk Management (Basel II and III), external regulations (e.g. MiFID, EMIR) and auditing;•Knowledge of AMA instruments (i.e. Risk Control Self Assessments, Change Risk Assessments);
•Knowledge of operational processes and services of a Clearing member;•5-7 years of relevant working experience. Social skills/attributes:
• Strong communication skills, written, verbal and presentation and ability to interact with management, business, process-and business owners and 2nd line of Defence enablers;
• Pro-active approach to understand day to day issues and build strong relations with all department heads;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Good organisational capacities (project management methodology and work in practice);
• Accurate and eye for detail;
• Approachable and diplomatic;
