Your impact as Project Management Officer at NN Group

At NN Group, sustainability is fully integrated in our strategy and integrating it in our core business is key to our ambition: to be an industry leader, known for our customer engagement, talented people, and contribution to society.

The field of sustainable finance is developing in an accelerating pace, influenced by an increasing amount of complex, fast changing EU-regulations, changing risks and opportunities, evolving stakeholder expectations, and changing customer demands and preferences. To make sure we address all requirements and adequately identify risks and opportunities for our businesses, we are launching a Task Force Sustainability in Business (TFSB) for, in principle, a period of two-three years.

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage your expertise, make a positive societal impact and contribute to our strategic ambitions, more specifically in the area of integrating sustainability in our products and services

  • Work closely with the Head of the Task Force Sustainability in Business (TFSB), our Programme Managers and various internal stakeholders in multi-disciplinary change initiatives

The central programme deliverables include: setting milestones and tracking progress; monitoring of key risks in the area of sustainability, providing insights in project financials and drawing up business cases, and reporting to the Steering Committee and Management Board. You will lead your own (sub-)projects within these larger initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • You guide project management processes, which includes planning and implementing project management strategies and project set up and close down tasks

  • You prepare and coordinate the team’s internal management reporting on strategic objectives and you develop impact analysis

  • You organise and prepare Steering Committees to support the governance of the Task Force

  • You work within a senior stakeholder environment and ensure timely execution and completion of deliverables

  • You cooperate with project team members and provide suggestions or solutions to unforeseen issues

  • You collect, summarize and monitor the overall budget and business case

Your colleagues

  • You will be part of the Task Force Sustainability in Business and its programme management  office consisting of 4 FTE. This team is part of the broader sustainability transformation programme team

  • You colleagues are professionals and you will work closely with the Corporate Citizenship team which defines the overall direction on sustainability and advises the Management Board and Business Units

  • The Task Force works closely with the different businesses (NL and International) and other Group functions to set the agenda, and steer and advise on the embedding of sustainability and ESG aspects in strategy, policies and business processes within NN.

Corporate Citizenship is part of the Corporate Relations (CR) department, located at the international head office in The Hague. CR (60 FTE) is divided into specific specialist teams: Branding & Sponsoring, Corporate Citizenship, Corporate Communications, and Public & Governmental Affairs

Who you are

  • A relevant University Degree; preferably a degree in Business & IT, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Informatics or similar

  • 3-5 years of working experience in project management, preferably at a consulting firm and/or in the insurance/investment industry or within the field of sustainability

  • Fluent in both Dutch and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and understanding of business strategy, needs, and complexities

  • High learning agility, meaning you can easily adapt and absorb new information in a changing and fast pace environment

  • Strong in stakeholder management, proactive attitude and highly-developed project management skills

  • Team player with a strong sense for individual accountability, accuracy and organizational sensitivity

Continue developing

It is important to us that you continue to develop yourself. We give you the space and the confidence to grow in your career and as a person. We help you with:

  • Plenty of training and learning opportunities in our Learning & Development Centre

  • A large (international) network of colleagues who are keen to share their knowledge with you

  • The autonomy to steer your own development path
