You will be part of a fast-growing project management department. You will be supporting various audit engagement teams operationally in launching, conducting and monitoring audit engagements. The main focus of this position is on planning, finance and audit management. You will be involved with reporting and verification as well as deadline and budget management. You will assist the project manager for mid-sized to large audit engagement teams or you will take responsibility yourself for small to mid-sized engagements.

Who are you?

  • You have completed a study programme at a university of applied sciences or hold a Master’s degree.
  • You have 2-3 years’ relevant work experience with project management in a professional working environment.
  • You must be good with figures.
  • An affinity with accountancy and finance is preferred.
  • You are able to work and think in terms of procedures.
  • You have experience with and/or hold - preferably - project management certification (such as PRINCE2, IPMA, PMI).
  • Your familiar an experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Projects and PowerPoint) and have strong Excel skills.
  • You have an excellent command of English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
  • You are precise and have an eye for detail.
  • You are proactive and independent. You point out problems in good time and set priorities.
  • You can cope with stress and are able to meet deadlines when under time pressure.
  • Experience with change projects is preferred
  • You are able to communicate confidentially and professionally on different levels and to cultivate relationships with both your PwC colleagues and clients.
  • You have good negotiation skills and are customer and solution-focused.

What does your job involve?
Our accountants are at our clients all year round. For our larger clients, you will be responsible for project management tasks, such as resource planning, drawing up and monitoring the overall planning and budget and maintaining contacts with other departments. These contacts may be with the client or inside PwC, and are also often international in nature. You will maintain these contacts as a member of the engagement team.

As a member of the engagement team, you will collaborate with accountants and, depending on the size of the account, with other project coordinators and project managers. You will report to the senior engagement manager of the team or the engagement leader. As a true member of the team, you will act as the linchpin that brings the various teams and departments together. You will follow up on actions, detect issues, facilitate internal and external meetings and be involved with the engagement monitoring. You will use PwC’s project management systems and will play an active role in the further development of these systems and methods.

As a member of a department with project employees of various levels of experience, you will coach less experienced team members. As a couch, you will be accountable to your team leader of the Project Management department in the Audit practice.
