IIA Netherlands publishes the English version of its ESG report, offering insights into evolving challenges and practical guidance for internal auditors navigating the expanding ESG domain.
The role of internal audit in the ESG domain is developing rapidly. Building on its 2021 report on climate change and environmental risk, IIA Netherlands now presents the English version of “ESG – Challenges and Guidance for Internal Audit.” The publication reflects the shift from climate risks in isolation to a broader perspective that integrates ESG topics such as biodiversity, social inequality, and governance. To support auditors, the report combines reflection, interpretation, and practical tools. Twelve organizations from different sectors share how they embed ESG in their audit practices, making the report valuable at both strategic and operational levels.
