Finance Director BeNeLux
For our Finance Benelux team, located at our office in Vianen, we are looking for a Finance Director for 40 hours per week.

The Finance Director heads up the Finance Benelux team consisting of 3 employees based in Vianen and 1 employee based in Brussels. The Finance Director directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Management of the Finance function: Drives efficient team performance and employee engagement & wellbeing in line with Sonova policies and procedures. Ensures adequate staffing and training and coaching of staff, including constructive feedback and support of growth.
- Financial Analysis: Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
- Accounting/Bookkeeping: Maintains the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
- Performance Controlling: Establishes reports that outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations. Recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance (profitability and capital employed).
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning: Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system), and analyzes and reports variances.
- Local Tax Management: Is responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
- Reporting: Ensures adequate support and material for stakeholders in the business to take financially informed decisions. Establishes and furnishes internal reports, revises and updates reports to be user friendly and efficient and establishes and furnishes reports to headquarters as necessary.
- Audit: Coordinates and conducts annual audits with external audit company in connection with statutory financial and group reporting audits.
- Internal Control & Compliance: Responsible for providing effective financial controls for the organization. This includes coordination of Delegation of Authorities and Group policies.
Your profile
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major, CPA or equivalent
- Further education in Business Administration
- 7+ years of experience in an international environment or 5+ years of experience as a Finance lead with a small/medium-sized enterprise
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Strong leadership skills: demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and develop high performing and efficient teams
- Strong financial analysis skills and broad functional financial knowledge
- Strategic thinker that can help drive business growth
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with teams and form partnerships to complete projects
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid experience working with transaction systems such as SAP
- Fluent in Dutch and English
