Job Description & Summary

Do you enjoy working on challenging technical matters - applying and researching (non-)financial reporting standards, to solve complex reporting queries? Are you agile and keen to learn about new developments in an ever-changing world? Are you a teamplayer who likes to engage in accounting technical discussions?

Then we are looking for you!

What you will be doing

Our team is part of the firm's National (technical) Office which supports the firm's assurance practice in areas such as audit methodology, corporate (non-)financial reporting and risk management. You will interact with the assurance practice in the Netherlands as well as enjoy stimulating interactions with the broader international (worldwide) network of corporate reporting specialists of PwC.

As a reporting specialist within our corporate reporting services team in National Office you will be:

  • Supporting clients and colleagues in navigating complex accounting issues, both under Dutch GAAP and IFRS;
  • Developing tools to make significant accounting judgement and analysis easier;
  • Enhancing the quality of financial statements by performing pre-issuance reviews on key accounting issues;
  • Supporting teams on key reporting matters and during workshops in audit proposals;
  • Engaging with the corporate reporting specialists of PwC around the world, representing our team in the Netherlands;
  • Developing new guidance in the field of reporting standards;
  • Developing and facilitating training to upskill our colleagues and clients on corporate reporting related topics;
  • Creating or updating audit work programmes to assist audit teams in the performance of their work;
  • Providing ad-hoc accounting advice to non-audit clients.

To join our team, a background in financial reporting is considered an advantage-but it is more important that you know when to ask for coaching and are open to receive other views as input for developing your own opinion. You are able to identify key points for discussion quickly and see complex issues as an interesting challenge. As you gain experience you will be working more independently, yet always supported by a network of specialists who solve important problems together. You will focus and develop yourself in the area of corporate reporting specifically, but also deepen your broader financial and non-financial reporting knowledge. You will have the opportunity to build a network, both within PwC Netherlands and within the broader team of reporting specialists of PwC globally.

Does this describe you?
You are a talented and ambitious professional in the field of financial audit and/or risk management and take responsibility for your own career and development. You wish to acquire new knowledge, share your expertise, expand your network and get the best out of yourself and your colleagues. You also speak and write fluent Dutch and/ or English and can easily adapt to new work environments. Besides that you are self-reliant, flexible, critical, proactive, innovative and a team player.

  • You have completed a business administration or economic university programme and have a postgraduate RA degree;
  • You have gained experience in auditing and/or accounting at an audit firm;
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

What are we offering?
At PwC, you will have the opportunity to be yourself, get the best out of yourself in a high-performance organisation and grow within our global network. As part of our team we offer:

  • A competitive salary, attractive pension plan and the opportunity to grow;
  • Customised training for professional growth and leadership development;
  • Motivating work environment where collaboration with ambitious colleagues and recognition for your contributions are highly valued;
  • Comprehensive benefits including "well-being budget" for physical and mental health;
  • Flexibility of hybrid working, including ergonomic home office and fixed expense allowance including internet allowance;
  • Attractive mobility options, including electric lease car, car waiver allowance and the possibility of using different shared transport providers;
  • 32 vacation days per year;
  • Fun extras such as various informal company activities.

These are just a handful of our terms of employment. Find more information on our website.
